Assuring that a WITtian can always compete and be on top of the management level of multinational companies here and abroad, Engr. Caberoy candidly shares her experience how she got where she is now. " I myself can show the knowledge, honesty and sincerity towards my work, confidence in all I do, and that put me on where I am now. I was the only Filipina in the executive position and Filipinos who have been there were saying that I should also pop cigars with the Canadian/ Americans, to be “IN” . But I believe, I don’t have to do that, I have the weapons in my heart and mind to be “IN” with multicultural people." |

48th College Days Celebration |

Western Institute of Technology celebrated its 48th College Day Celebration with the theme "At 48: Living with Legacy of Wisdom, Integrity and Truth" last February 9 to 11, 2012.  February 8, 2012, marked the first ever Velada Show in the history of WIT entitled “An Ode to Dance” wherein WIT Official Dance Ensemble, WIT Teatro Primiero, ILOPRISAA contestants and the alumni of WIT joined forces to produce a one big fabulous show. With the special participation of Mr. Israel Tantengco, Ms. JP Libo-on and of course the WASEDA dancers. The show was performed at Matinee 1:00pm and Gala at 7:00 pm and tickets were all sold out. The dance concert was for the benefit of the indigent children of Brgy. Camalig, Jaro, Iloilo City. The start of this years celebration was launched by a Foot Parade held February 9 followed by a Thanksgiving Mass and the Opening Ceremonies. Student then watched the WIT Faculty-Employee Basketball Team go against the Philippine Coast Guard in a friendly Basketball game which was won by WIT with only 1-point advantage. Everyone then enjoyed the Annual WIT Campus Picnic held in front of the swimming pool. The Booth Making Contest sponsored by the WITSG were judged on the same day.  |
