WITSG KUMPAS LAWAS - The WIT Overload! |

The Western Institute of Technology Student Government once again sponsored a big gathering this year with their “KUMPAS LAWAS: The W.I.T. Overload!”, an open disco derby competition, last October 3, 2008 at WIT RTS Campus.
The said competition was participated by eight (8) dance group in the city and the province. The participants were the following: Z-Trooperz, Cozzazkz, Street Movers, Magazine 60, Dance Unlimited, Topsy Turvy, D’Black Icerz and Clean Cut Dancers. |

WIT 45th Cultural Contests |

The HRM Department emerged as the winner in this year’s cultural contests held at the WIT Auditorium last September 12, 2008. While the last year’s champion, the LA Department landed in the first place and the BSBA Department bagged the second place.
This year’s cultural contests had been revised to establish unity and camaraderie among the students. Departments had been teamed up to work hand and hand in this year’s new contests, the Group Storytelling and Contemporary Dance. Also, the vocal solo pop had been changed into WIT Pop Idol.
The said event, also served as a celebration of WIT’s sapphire anniversary and was organized by the Cultural Affairs Office, headed by Eng’r. Leanne Claire Marie Salas.
